	The Carpet Foundation Quality Mark is your assurance that the carpet you are purchasing has been tested under The Carpet Foundation suitability evaluation system and has reached the suitability standard (i.e. Heavy Domestic, Extra Heavy Domestic etc.) claimed by the manufacturer. Endorsed and independently monitored by the Textile Institute, the worldwide professional body for textiles.
The Quality Mark ensures that you really can believe what it says on the label. The Carpet Foundation has developed a Suitability Evaluation System that uses British and International carpet tests to produce an overall measure of carpet suitability. Test scores are fed into a framework of weighted factors, which produce an overall score and a corresponding suitability description. Products which will qualify for the use of The Carpet Foundation Quality Mark will be those which have test results and an overall measure of suitability which supports the manufacturers suitability claims. The Quality Mark only applies to products which have been registered and uses one of the 5 standard suitability descriptors:- Light Domestic, Moderate Domestic, General domestic, Heavy Domestic and Extra Heavy Domestic
